Henrietta is a little wooden duck whose life turns into an adventure!
Through this adventure, she learns to trust and thank her Lord Jesus through the real difficult times of her life. She refuses to give up hope no matter how dark things look or how lonely her life becomes.
Henrietta’s story encourages children to trust, believe, and have faith in the God who loves them.
"This is such a sweet story and I love the cute illustrations. (I love ducks!) The rain boots are adorable. The images of the forlorn duck, of Jesus, and of the reunion with family are powerful. I believe children (and adults!) will love this book."
"This is an absolutely delightful children’s book, with a heartfelt inspiring message to never give up hope. Trusting in the Divine, this little duck is reunited with its family. It speaks to the power of prayer and faith. The illustrations are also very sweet, and were inspired by the author’s own wooden ducks. An absolute joy to read again and again!"
"I have met the author and wooden ducks in this book in person. They are as genuine and adorable as in the book. This is a story of faith in God children will enjoy over and again."
"This is a lovely inspiring book for young children and the illustrations will have all age children enjoying this story book over and over."

The story of Henrietta and her Special Rain Boots came about with a real life experience a friend and I had when we visited a small town in our province of B.C. My friend Norma and I decided to stop into a few ladies clothing stores on a very rainy dreary day. While shopping, I noticed 4 wooden ducks on the cash register counter. How odd in a ladies clothing store! But I fell in love with the littlest duck and bought her. At the next ladies clothing store, why I don't know, I showed the wooden duck to the owner and asked what she would name this cute little duck. She suggested Henrietta. I laughed and said that was so cute, so she became Henrietta the little wooden duck. At home, she looked so lonely so I decided to buy the other 3 ducks, called them her family and named them all. At the encouragement of my friend Norma, who said there is a story here, I started writing and totally believe the whole story was inspired by God.
